Vinpearl Golf Haiphong is situated on Vu Yen Island, which is positioned just outside of Haiphong City and approximately 120 kilometers to the east of Hanoi. With a vast expanse of 872 hectares, this golf course encompasses 36 holes. Vu Yen Island itself is located at the convergence point of three rivers before they flow into the East Sea. This river delta region provides an advantageous setting for a golf course due to its predominantly open and consistently wet conditions throughout the year.

Vinpearl Haiphong, designed by IMG, offers two distinct courses: the Lakeside Course and the Marshland Course. Both courses boast fairways covered in Platinum Paspalum grass and feature Tiff Eagle greens, ensuring optimal playing conditions throughout the year. The Lakeside Course, a par-72 resort course spanning 7,333 yards from the tips, is strategically crafted around a network of interconnected lakes. On this course, water hazards come into play on 12 holes. The fairways are generally wide, providing ample landing areas, while the greens exhibit smooth yet subtle undulations. The open areas in front of the greens facilitate run-up shots. To achieve a good score here, it is essential to have a long tee shot and position the ball on the right side of the pin. The Marshland Course offers a contrasting experience to the Lakeside Course as it meanders through semi-natural wetlands. It adopts a different golfing style where precision in shot placement surpasses driving distance, as the fairways are narrower. The par-72, 7,291-yard Marshland Course also features strategically positioned grass-faced bunkers and medium to small sized greens, which intensify the need for accurate shots to achieve par.
